ManhwaShelf ("we", "us", or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

Information We Collect

We collect only what is necessary to provide the service:

• Account information. When you sign in with Apple, we receive a unique identifier from Apple. We do not receive your name or email address unless you explicitly share them.
• Library data. The URLs, titles, chapter numbers, and cover images of manhwa you save. This data is stored on our servers to enable sync across your devices.
• Sync metadata. Timestamps and revision numbers used to keep your library in sync.

Information We Do Not Collect

• We do not collect your browsing history beyond the URLs you explicitly save.
• We do not use advertising or analytics SDKs.
• We do not sell your data to third parties.
• We do not track your location.

How We Use Your Information

• To store and sync your personal reading library across devices.
• To authenticate you via Sign in with Apple.
• To operate and improve the service.

Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on Cloudflare's infrastructure. We use industry-standard encryption in transit (HTTPS) and at rest. Access tokens are stored securely in your device's Keychain.

Sign in with Apple

Authentication is handled entirely by Apple. We only store the Apple-issued user identifier needed to associate your library with your account. We never see your Apple ID password.

Browser Extension

The ManhwaShelf browser extension reads the URL and page title of the tab you are actively reading on manhwa sites, solely for the purpose of tracking your chapter progress. It does not access any other tabs, store browsing history, or transmit data to third parties.

Data Retention and Deletion

Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from the Account section in the app. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.

Children's Privacy

ManhwaShelf is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
